Fuel your day the right way!

Where do you get your energy from to start your day? Yes, breakfast! You’re fasting all night from getting your beauty rest and your body needs proper fuel to get you through your long busy day. Everyone nowadays stays on the go so it's important to make sure your body is pulling energy from the right places. Eating a balanced breakfast is known to improve concentration, performance, and endurance throughout your day. Lets not find excuses as to why we can’t or choose not to eat breakfast. Jumpstart your day the right way!


Omelet:

3 eggs, 1/8 cup diced green pepper, 1/8 cup diced red pepper, 1/8 cup diced onion, 1/8 cup chopped mushrooms, chopped spinach, salt/pepper to taste

Prep time: 15 mins

Cook time 7 mins

Step 1: Dice up all vegetables. 

Step 2: Crack 3 eggs in a bowl, whisk and set to the side. 

Step 3: In pan, drizzle EVOO and sauté vegetables on medium heat about 3 mins

Step 4: Add in 3 eggs with salt/pepper to taste

Step 5: Cook about 2 mins,  flip omelet, fold and serve

Insert: Craving a hot breakfast? This omelet is packed with protein and vegetables to get proper nutrients for the day. You could prep all your vegetables at the beginning of week by dicing them up or even sautéing them and have them ready to throw in the pan bright and early making your prep and cook time even less!



Oatmeal: 

1 tbsp peanut butter, 1banana, 1 tbsp honey, tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 cup dry oats  

Prep time: 5 mins (let sit overnight for a more creamy consistency) 

Cook time: 3 mins or eat cold

Step 1: place dry oats in container

Step 2: add peanut butter, honey, cinnamon

Step 3: Add milk

Step 4: Refrigerate overnight or place in microwave

Step 5: Slice banana over oats. 

Insert: Do you prefer your breakfast cold or hot? Sometimes on a hot summer day you need something cool to beat the heat. With oatmeal you have a choice! Prepare overnight oats to get the perfect chill and creamy texture for a great breakfast. Packed with lots of fiber, carbohydrates to fill you up, and the hint of sweetness to fill the craving it’s a great way to start the day.



On the go:

2 Boiled eggs, 2 plain rice cakes, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tbsp honey, 1 banana 

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 20 mins (or cook eggs night before or beginning of week) 

Step 1: slice boiled eggs in half add salt pepper to taste

Step 2: spread peanut butter and honey on one rice cake

Step 3: Slice banana place on same rice cake

Step 4: place second rice cake on top making a sandwich. 

Insert: Are you running out the door every morning? Most times it’s us against the clock. This is a quick and easy meal to prep and grab in the morning. This on the go breakfast is packed with protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates to get you off to a great start without sacrificing taste!
